Doreen Orishaba is a results-driven engineer with over a decade of experience leading electric mobility and sustainable transport initiatives in Africa. She is the Managing Director of BasiGo Rwanda, driving the adoption of electric buses and charging infrastructure. Previously at Kiira Motors Corporation, she helped secure $40M in government funding, delivered Uganda’s first electric buses, and developed national EV strategies. Her career includes roles with Ford Motor Company and collaborations with MIT. Doreen holds an MSc in Engineering Management from Kettering University and is a Chartered Marketing Management Professional. She is passionate about advancing e-mobility, climate change solutions, and sustainable energy innovations.
