Caroline Ochieng leads energy access work at IRENA’s Knowledge, Policy and Finance Division. She has over 17 years of experience in energy access including off-grid electrification and clean cooking. She has worked on several global and national initiatives on off-grid energy with various organisations including SEforALL, World Bank and Stockholm Environment Institute. She has a PhD in Public Health and Policy from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Masters Degrees in Finance (Frankfurt School of Finance & Management) and Environment (Kenyatta University) and a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies. She has also taught and published extensively on the topic.
